Mission:
To achieve this vision, the Centre for Nature Conservation and Sustainable Learning sets forth the following missions:
- Nature Conservation: We actively participate in nature conservation, focusing on protecting critical habitats such as the Megamendung forest and other ecosystems. We establish bird sanctuaries as part of a comprehensive conservation effort, which not only protects rare birds but also raises public awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity.
- Organic Farming and Environmental Services Utilization: Promote organic farming techniques to care for the soil and foster harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. We provide education and training to local farmers for sustainable agricultural practices.
- Local Community Empowerment: Encourage the development of productive and sustainable livelihoods that support nature conservation goals and enhance the capacity of local communities. This includes the development of non-timber forest products and other environmental services such as ecotourism and the carbon economy.
- Science and Knowledge Development: Contribute to the development of science and knowledge in environmental conservation and organic farming by establishing research stations that produce new scholars at various levels and international journals.
