The Paseban Foundation proudly celebrated Indonesia Conservation Day 2024 by hosting a special event at its conservation area in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java. The event featured a major tree cultivation initiative, where 10,000 trees were planted with the active involvement of the government, state-owned enterprises, Indigenous communities, and local residents. This large-scale tree planting activity not only symbolized the foundation’s dedication to reforestation and ecosystem restoration but also reinforced community participation in environmental conservation efforts. The event showcased the importance of collaborative actions in sustaining Indonesia’s rich biodiversity.
In addition to the tree planting, participants were taken on tours of the conservation area, including a glimpse of the under-development giant aviary and the thriving organic farming projects. The day began with a semi-formal opening ceremony, followed by a ceremonial signing of the Paseban Commitment Wall, where participants expressed their support for the foundation’s environmental goals. The event concluded with a discussion session, providing a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and insights on Paseban’s upcoming programs and further strengthening the foundation’s role in promoting sustainability.
